At Winter Street Studios, artists, musicians, fashionistas, performing artists and patrons with fine palates will gather on January 30th for the 8th annual Artopia, hosted by Houston Press. This amalgam of sensory surprises, culinary charms, auditory inspirations, and visual innovations will have the spirit and the intellect within you dancing together in delight. Houston Press will be awarding over $2,000 in grants to Mastermind Award winners, chosen from a panel of local aesthetes, at the event, and the whole celebration will - rather than wind down - end with a bang in a smashing after party at Cle Houston.

Artopia is an evening of culture, fashion, art, music and food. This one-night event features live music, fashion shows, dance and theatrical performances, along with galleries filled with works from local artists. Ticket prices include complimentary food, wine, cocktail and beer sampling. Houston Press also awards local individuals or organizations that have made an impact in the local arts community with a Mastermind Award. Each winner receives a $2,000 check from the Press. The Mastermind Awards is sponsored by Stella Artois. The winners will be featured in a special section of Houston Press, and will be honored at the event on January 30.
