In the heart of Hollywood lies the Museum of Broken Relationships, a haven for the relics left behind when love has left the building. The museum's sole purpose is treasuring and sharing heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions from all over the world. Whether the relationships ended in furious flame-outs or bittersweet sorrow, the museum's collected the remnants. While perusing the displays, you can find anything from a single stiletto left behind in Amsterdam to a set of books by Proust abandoned in London to a toaster grabbed by a spiteful lover from Denver. What started as a globally crowd-sourced project with traveling exhibitions now has permanent museum outposts in Zagreb, Croatia and L.A. Explore the sentimental, heartbreaking, hilarious and occasionally oddball ways we love and handle loss.
